In celebration of Saturday Night Live’s 40th anniversary, NBC debuted the SNL app, a first-of-its-kind video app that allows users to view sketches from SNL's 40+ seasons. The SNL app features a gesture-based interface that let users to swipe and move from sketch to sketch seamlessly, along with machine learning to serve up videos that the user would like from the 40+ seasons library of Saturday Night Live sketches. That combination helps to maximize video views and encourages longer user engagement.
